Remember that Summer in Dublin? Well join us in the Festival Marquee at Monastery House, Enniskerry, for a fantastic night of rocking to one of Ireland's most popular bands and you'll never forget that Autumn in Wicklow! Bar and hot food will be available at the venue. Doors open from 7PM.

Victorian Field Day

Sunday 9th September - 11AM to 5PM

This year's Victorian Field Day will be the biggest yet! We have a greatly expanded kids area, with loads of bouncy castles, inflatable obstacle courses, bungee trampolines, fairground, pony rides, kids races, games, face painting and much, much more!

There's plenty to keep the young-at-heart occupied too! Browse the Craft & Art Fair, watch sheepdog duck herding (yes!), admire the vintage cars, enjoy the live music and dancing, dine at the food village, or watch the Soapbox Derby, to mention just a few! See below for more details.

Craft & Art Fair:
Festival marquee, 11am - 5pm

Located in the Festival Marquee, the Craft & Art Fair welcomes many new exhibitors this year. With a wide range of art & crafts ranging from trinkets to serious artworks, there should be something to appeal to all tastes and budgets.

Soapbox Derby:
Festival arena, 2pm - 4pm

2018 sees the relaunch of one of the festival's most popular events: the Soapbox Derby. Watch more than a dozen competitors steer everything from "dogs" to "football boots" through the festival racecourse as they compete for the coveted Donal O'Connor Memorial Trophy. Live commentary by East Coast FM's Laura Wood.

Dog Show:
Festival arena, 1pm - 4pm

Always a hugely popular event, this year's Dog Show has a fantastic selection of competitions. We would like to thank Cathy and the wonderful team at Wonder Paws for organising and running the show and also Burns Pet Nuitrition for generously donating the prizes!

There will be a FREE Fun Agility Course open from 11am to 5pm (relax, it's for your dog, not you!!) and for those with a more competitive edge, here's the fantastic list of Dog Show competitions:

We expect to have up to fifty fabulous vintage cars on display from enthusiasts including members of the Bray Vintage Car club.

- Archery: test your aim under the watchful eye of some crack archers!
- Falconry: see beautiful birds of prey with the Irish Hawking Club.
- Duck-herding sheepdog demonstration: yes, you read see is to believe!
- Mini-farm: the cutest farm animals with thanks to Kia Ora.
- Sheaf-pitching: fancy yourself with a caber...well why not start with some sheaf-pitching!
- Vintage kitchen: food for (nogistalgic!) thought!!

Victorian Best Dressed:

Where are your Victorian outfits? Find them, brush them down, come to the festival and WIN!
Prizes for most authentic Family, Couple, Man, Woman, Boy & Girl.
Entries on the day (to somebody with a clipboard!) any time between 2pm and 4pm. Winners announced after 4PM.

The Great Enniskerry Bake Off:
Festival marquee, 12pm - 1pm

There are lots of new categories this year to suit all ages and abilities! Register your entry on the day in the Festival Marquee between 12PM and 1PM. Entry fees are just €1 per competition for 16-and-under and just €3 for over 16s.

Under 10s and 10-16 categories
- Decorated cupcakes - please submit two identical cupcakes for each entry
- Cookies - please submit two identical cookies for each entry
- Vegetable vehicles - make a "vehicle" using vegetables!

Adults (17+) categories
- Victoria sponge - filled with jam only!
- Scones - please submit two identical scones for each entry; scones to be submitted whole (without filling)
- Loaf cake - any flavour with or without icing. Only rule: it must have been baked in a loaf tin!

Jams & chutney (open to all ages)
- Strawberry jam
- Raspberry jam
- Mixed fruit jam
- Chutney

The winner of the best overall jam will be awarded the Jenny Bolger perpetual shield. Winners will be announced after 4PM.

We are delighted to welcome some of the countries best craft food producers. Whether sweet or savoury, every possible taste is catered for in the Food Village. So no matter what else happens, you won't go home hungry or thirsty!!
